Fill in the Blank Friday

Linking up with Lauren for some end of the year fun...
1.   New Years is     a time for reflection and appreciation of everything that the previous year offered and a chance to set goals and make plans for the upcoming year.

2.   One of my New Year's resolutions will be   to be more organized. I need to plan out healthier meals ahead of time, clean the house on a regular basis so all that dust and dog hair doesn't keep sneaking up on me, and manage my time more wisely.

3.  A New Year's resolution I've made in the past was to   lose weight. lol, hasn't everyone had that one?

4. The most time consuming resolution I ever made was    to think positively. This wasn't necessarily a New Year's resolution, but I read the book The Secret a couple of years ago and I really bought into the message it sent. A lot of people think it's silly, but if you change your outlook into a positive one, you generally have more and better opportunities presented to you. It seems to have worked for me... I'll have to do a post about it soon. But anyway, it was time consuming because I'm still doing it, and you have to do it on a daily- pretty much hourly- basis.

5.  This year I will be spending New Year's Eve    at home with my husband and my dog. We know of some parties, but our main group of friends are all splitting up this year, so we decided we'll just have a cozy New Years at home with some movies and chinese take out. Plus since I can't drink (much less stay up past 7:30), I probably wouldn't be much fun to go out with!

6.  If I could wish one thing for my new year it would be    to have a healthy, happy baby.

7.  2012 is going to be    filled with adventure and new experiences!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Because I'm short on time but not quite ready to sit down and crank out some work:

1.   My favorite thing about this week was/is   how fast it went by! I love that it's already Friday!

2.   Colder weather makes me want to snuggle up under a blanket and read a good book  .

3.  Three things that make me terribly happy as of late are    my little family, quality time working out with my mom, and Netflix   .

4. If I could only wear one kind of shoe for the rest of my life, I'd choose    flip flops, all the way  .

5.  My personality type is    I took this test and I'm an ENFJ... it says I can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or projects simultaneously... hmmm...

6.  I have a serious problem resisting     chocolate. Like, for real. Halloween is my enemy.

7.  My favorite color to wear is    yellow! Although it's not very slimming... so black! :)

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's Fill in the Blank Friday with Lauren!

1.   I am a (morning, evening, middle of the day person)  evening person! I'm always still tired when I wake up- even after a full 7-8 hours of sleep. And then come lunch time, I'm even more tired. Like, ready to put my head down on  my desk and take a nap on my keyboard.

2.  My favorite Pandora stations are  Today's Country, Miranda Lambert, Zac Brown Band (for while I'm cooking/cleaning), Katy Perry (while I'm working out), and after I saw Bridesmaids, I added Wilson Phillips- it was one of the best things I've ever done.... great for driving around to... fun 80's-early 90's music!

3.  3 of my "must-have" songs for a road trip playlist are     um, well I guess any Wilson Phillips song! :) Smile by Uncle Kracker (that was our first dance song!), and Gunpowder and Lead by Miranda Lambert- I was singing that in the car yesterday and all felt right in the world.

4.  My favorite pattern is   I've been really into damask lately. I think it's all of the wedding planning. But I also like a lot of florals and colorful prints. I think color is what actually draws me to something.

5.  My favorite perfume is    I don't really have one. A lot of them smell like old lady to me. But one that I have used before and actually really like a lot is Malaia from Hollister.

6.  Rules are      pretty important. I was never a rule breaker but I definitely didn't like be told what I could and couldn't do when I was younger. Now though, being older and a teacher, I understand that society needs rules and people need structure. If rules and guidelines aren't in place and consequences aren't followed through with, everything will fall apart. Stepping down from the soapbox.

7.  My most overused phrase or punctuation is      I do this a lot... and I do this-
But it's only when I'm writing something on here or Facebook because I like to give my words a voice. I write things the same way I would speak them. If that makes sense at all. Also, I use the word 'awesome' way too much. Like to describe everything. Oh, I call Brian a Diva. All. The. Time. That's getting old to both of us!

Fill in the Blank Friday

I'm linking up with Lauren for the first time... let's do this!

1.   My plans this summer include  now that the honeymoon is over, leaning my house (like a DEEP clean), going to the beach, hopefully camping, hanging out with family and friends, BBQing, swimming...
The crew!
2.  The best summer I ever had was  Definitely this one- getting married and honeymooning definitely tops the list!
My dad and mom, me, Brian, and Brian's mom and dad
Although in 2010, Brian moved in, then he and I went road tripping/camping up the California coast, got Kevin, got engaged... so that was pretty sweet too.
Camping at McGrath and our first day with Kevin!
Oh, and in 2009, I got to chaperone a school trip where we got to travel all around Europe... my summers are getting better and better!
Outside the Vatican with some of my kids!

3.  Summer is  warm weather, free time, eating meals outside, swimming with the dogs, vacations, camping, and time spent with friends and family.

4.  My favorite summer food is  ice cream!!! And cheeseburgers! :)

5.  The best way to quench a summer thirst is with   lemonadealways sounds good in the summer time, but I'll have to go with my all time favorite- Diet Coke!

6.  My summer uniform consists of  Dresses, shorts, and tank tops. Oh, and bathing suits!!!

7.  The best thing about summer is finally having the time and the weather to do all of the things I've been wanting to do the rest of the year!
